November Wrap-Up

Books I read:

Cinder - Marissa Meyer

1,2,3,4,5

This book was definitely different than most I've read. It's futuristic, set in Asia, and feels like it's set in Europe. It almost had a Steampunk feel at times and all around, nothing seemed to fit together. That being said, the book wasn't too bad. The characters were pretty good, plus it could be funny at times. My biggest complaint is the large amount of set-up for a very small exciting part. The rest of the series is supposed to be better, so I will be sure to check it out.

Maus - Art Spiegelman

1,2,3,4,5

This book was fantastic. It's about a Jewish dad during WWII. His son comes over many years later to interview him for a book, and it's really good. The switching of perspectives was very enjoyable, and the characters were all animals, which was a plus. The Americans were dogs, the Nazis were Cats, the Jews were mice, and the Polish were pigs. I highly recommend this book to anywhere who enjoys READING.

Movies/Theater I attended:

Loving Vincent

1,2,3,4,5

This movie was amazing. It was completely done in paintings, and was very educational. It's about the death of Vincent Van Gogh, and was beautifully done.

Waitress

1,2,3,4,5

This musical was all around just happy. I got to see it on Broadway with my mom. I even got to meet Jason Mraz afterwards!

Wonder (Movie)

1,2,3,4,5

This movie was almost as good as the book. It had a very good cast, and they did such a good job of copying everything wonderful about the original story. If you've read the book, go see it now, you won't regret it!

Other Things On My Mind:

A Christmas Carol

I had the great opportunity to be in a production of a Christmas Carol. Lots of my friends came to see it, and I made many new ones. I got the role of Young Ebeneezer Scrooge, which was very fun to play. This was my first time on stage, so I was a bit nervous, but I quickly got my nerves together, and helped put on a great show.
